What is...

Public Liability Insurance

Public Liability Insurance helps protect individuals and businesses if a member of the public is injured or property is damaged as a result of their activities.

Vendors

All vendors trading at Newark Card Show are responsible for holding their own Public Liability Insurance covering their activities at the event.

This insurance should:

  • Be valid in the United Kingdom

  • Cover trading activities at public events

  • Provide adequate cover for injury to third parties or damage to property

Vendors may be asked to provide evidence of insurance prior to or on the day of the event. Failure to hold appropriate insurance may result in refusal to trade, with no refund issued.

Public Liability Insurance is generally inexpensive and is commonly available from specialist providers, with policies often starting from around £3, depending on cover level and provider. Vendors are responsible for sourcing and selecting insurance appropriate to their own activities.

Event Organiser

Newark Card Show holds its own Public Liability Insurance in respect of the organisation and operation of the event. This insurance does not extend to vendors, their stock, staff, or trading activities.

Attendees

Attendees are not required to hold Public Liability Insurance. Attendance is subject to the Event Terms & Conditions and venue safety requirements.

Important notice

This information is provided for guidance only and does not constitute legal or insurance advice. Vendors are responsible for ensuring their insurance is suitable for their specific activities.
